Message Before I begin, Please keep the flames down. This isnt going to be cheap.. No one likes to throw away money...At least I dont....I'm looking for serious opinions. I'd like to get my car going before summer.

In a nutshell, I need a rebuild due to a knocking rod.
Many options out there. This one is sticking in my head for some reason. I'm looking at the following. Please let me know if you know of other options.

Thinking about a SpecialtyZ shortblock. However it is not readily available and will take a few months(I can wait). All I can remember is Ross Pistons, Forged Rods. They also mentioned a long block package with some aggressive headwork, oversize valves etc..(dont remember all the details) Cost would be around 2500.00 or so on top of short block price(think 6000-6500 total...dont quote me, I dont remember exact amt).

Now the heads on my current motor are ported/polished.(please see my profile for current motor setup).

I'd like to get the heads SpecialtyZ mentioned. but 2500.00 can be used towards replacing the Suck Ass Sport 600's I have. Supposedly these head can offer up about 50-100hp more than my current ones.
What you think? Think I "Need" to replace them? (See my goal below)

Turbos.
I've been thinking of HKS2530's. I have a hookup where I can get the complete kit for 3200.00 brand new. I need to dump the laggy Sport 600's. They suck.
Any opinions on any other turbo's comparable to the HKS 2530's?

I "Need" to get the following done during this build/rebuild whatever you want to call it. So I have to set aside money for this.
Downpipes, Clutch, Radiator.

GOAL:
With that said. My goal is to attempt getting as close to 500-550hp without maxing out the turbo's. Think if I just got the short block and used my current heads I can get there?

Ideally I'd like to have minimal lag,(is that even possible?).
Am I selecting the right turbo? If I used the short block, My current heads, 2530's, inconel manifolds, DP's.. Think that would do it? or do I need to get the Long Block?

Is my goal attainable? What would you do if you had my current motor..(please see profile)

Thanks in Advance....
